Line & Arrow Shift Constraints

Overview

When drawing lines or arrows, holding Shift constrains the segment to the nearest 45° increment (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).

Behavior

  • The start point stays fixed at the initial click.
  • The end point snaps to the closest 0°, 45°, 90°, or 135° direction.
  • Release Shift to return to free-angle drawing.
