Alignment Guides and Snap Points

Overview

When snapping is enabled, the editor draws magenta alignment guides. The small X markers show the contact points where the guide line meets aligned edges.

When the X Marker Appears

• Dragging or resizing near another object edge or center.
• Snapping to canvas edges or center lines.
• Multiple markers per guide, placed at the aligned edge endpoints of the moving object and target.

Tips

• Enable Show Guides in alignment settings if guides are hidden.
• Hold Alt/Option to temporarily disable snapping.
• Hold G while snapping to keep guides visible after releasing the drag.
• Guides clear 10 seconds after you release G.
