Record Mode

Overview

Use Record On in the timeline header to capture animation keyframes while you edit objects.

Workflow

  1. Select a timeline.
  2. Move playhead to target time.
  3. Enable Record On.
  4. Modify object properties on canvas.
  5. Disable Record On when done.

What Is Captured

  • Keyframes are written at current playhead time.
  • Only changed animatable properties are captured.
  • Missing tracks are created automatically when needed.
  • Existing keyframes at same timestamp are updated instead of duplicated.

Constraints

  • Locked objects are ignored.
  • Locked tracks are not mutated.
  • Playback-only actions do not create history steps.
